COUPLES THERAPY
Many of the couples who come to see me feel stuck in painful and repetitive cycles. You may feel like every conversation turns into an argument, or like your needs are not being heard no matter how clearly you try to express them. Perhaps you’ve tried couples therapy before and left feeling misunderstood, worried the therapist was taking sides, or frustrated that the deeper issues in your relationship were never fully addressed. My goal is to help both of you feel understood, slow down the patterns that keep you stuck, and create a space where you can finally talk about what is really happening in your relationship.

In our work together, I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, The Imago Method, and psychodynamic couples therapy to help you better understand both the emotional bond between you and the deeper dynamics that shape how you relate to one another. I help you improve communication, move out of reactive conflict cycles, and rebuild a stronger sense of connection and partnership.
I also have particular expertise in working with couples navigating breaches of trust, including betrayal, infidelity, and affairs. When trust is broken, the relationship can feel destabilizing and overwhelming for both partners. My goal is to guide you through the complex process of understanding what happened, creating space for the hurt and confusion that follows, and helping you decide how you want to move forward in the relationship. When couples choose to rebuild trust, we work carefully and deliberately to address the impact of the betrayal, restore safety in the relationship, and create new patterns of honesty, accountability, and connection.
